We provide programming for 2Funky Music Café, The 2Funky Lounge and 2Funky Street Kitchen – three self-sustaining, Leicester-based venues, specialising in music of Black origin. There are indoor & outdoor areas, licensed bars and dance floors to add to the mix.
2Funky Street Kitchen features pop-up street food events, influenced by Leicester’s diverse cultures, from the city’s finest guest traders.
2Funky Music Café is a fully accessible, 350 capacity, independent music venue, based in Leicester. They have recently received Arts Council England funding through the Cultural Recovery Fund, in recognition of the value they bring to the local economy, tourism, creative sector development and arts participation.
Their programme embraces original live music and talent development across young, vibrant communities.
2Funky Music Café is located in Leicester’s West End, near Narborough Road- ‘one of Britain’s most diverse streets’ (BBC).
The venue provides performance platforms for emerging artists’ original new work, alongside high calibre established acts like: Akala, Mica Paris, Omar, ILUVLIVE, Botown, Aba Shanti-I, Julian Marley and Grandmaster Flash.
