This year we celebrated the 10th anniversary of Festival2Funky, our 3-day Black music & arts festival at 2Funky Complex.

It was our biggest and most inclusive event yet with experimental fusions, a vibrant network of artists, and a new LGBTQ+ event that showcased new voices.

Over the weekend we had graffiti workshops, a family rave, a poetry slam, a dance competition with jaw-dropping hip-hop dance moves, an open mic, rooftop raves, and music all around, from live performances to DJ’s spinning tunes all night.

As well as welcoming talent from across the world and the UK, we continued to encourage and inspire Leicester’s new and emerging artists with performance opportunities throughout the festival.

We also want to say a massive thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with us. Festival2Funky is such an important festival for our community, as it fully embraces black music genres and arts, whilst giving opportunities for many local, up-coming artists to be part of the creative scene.

Punch, Baby People, Dare To Diva, EAVA FM, Radio2Funky, Marcus Joseph, HQ Recordings, Lowertone & Big Fish Little Fish.

Festival2Funky is managed by 2Funky Arts and supported using public funding by Arts Council England.
