The Rural Sessions

Based in Melton, Hinckley and Whetstone youth clubs, this project will encourage young people in rural areas to produce their own music, by recording and performing their songs.

The Rural Sessions are supported using public funding through Leicestershire County Council.

Our diverse arts programme will empower rural young people to participate in the creative sector, as well as seek new experiences, widen their future aspirations and use creativity to tackle social issues.

Through song writing and performing, we will also help to increase our participant’s confidence, and widen their personal development and determination to succeed.

Our sessions will be based around lyric writing, song structuring, production skills, recording techniques, different music genres, and developing participant’s artistry.

This project also includes mentoring from different creative figures, who will teach participants how to create a song, as well as demonstrate the mixing and mastering process for your final track.
