NEW THEATRE TALENT PROGRAMME

NEW THEATRE TALENT PROGRAMME

NEW THEATRE TALENT PROGRAMME

Are you an aspiring professional actor?

Curve is looking for talented individuals aged between 18-25 years who would like to take part in our New Theatre Talent programme . This intensive, part-time training course will run between February and October 2018 and will provide young adults with exceptional tuition in all aspects of performance, including acting, movement, singing and vocal work.

You will receive 24 days of intensive training led by some of the UK’s leading theatre directors and practitioners, culminating in end of training showcases for industry and public.

With generous support from the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation, 25 free places on this new scheme are available to any individuals who have not yet had the opportunity to develop their full potential.

Curve is actively seeking applications from young adults from diverse backgrounds who reflect our local community; who are not in formal education; who may not have had the opportunity to take part in arts activity or training due to financial restraints, and ultimately have a desire to pursue a future in the performing arts industry.

To take part in New Theatre Talent, applicants must live within the Leicester City Council area. If you’re not sure of your local Council, please visit www.gov.uk/find-local-council and enter your postcode to find out.

There are spaces on this programme for participants who wish to pay to take part. Please contact learning@curvetheatre.co.uk for more information.

  • Receive training from leading industry theatre professionals
  • Develop skills to support you in seeking further professional opportunities – training or performing.
  • Perform in a professionally directed, live showcase at the end of the course
  • Have your progress monitored and supported throughout the programme by the team at Curve and actor mentors
