2Funky’s 20th Birthday Jam!

2Funky’s 20th Birthday Jam!

2Funky celebrated 20 years of successful projects, events and artists, linked to music of Black origin, on Saturday 4 February 2017 at 2Funky Music Café.

Thanks to everyone who attended and helped make it a fantastic night, with a full house. This included previous customers, partners, work experience placements, artists, DJ’s, and promoters from near and far. Our event celebrated the last 20 years of Black music, alongside the work of 2Funky.

It featured fire eaters, a champagne reception, saxophonist, balloon drop, magician, refreshments and more.

DJ’s across soul, jazz, R&B, hip hop, dance, reggae, jungle, drum ‘n’ bass and UK Garage included Tony Minvielle, Lady Envy, Jon 1st, Glamour, DJSS, Imitri and Black Vinyl Magic. 2Funky Music Cafe is 2Funky’s new spiritual home and latest venture. It has already hosted the likes of Soweto Kinch, Julian Marley, Akala, Roy Ayers and Slum Village, to name a few.

However, the 2Funky Empire has a 20 year history that includes record labels, artist management, youth initiatives, dance competitions, comedy events and heritage projects.
