Divercity 2012

Divercity 2012

A dozen acts performed to a sell-out crowd in this celebration of Black dance styles.

Taking place on Saturday 6 October at Curve Theatre, as part of Black History Season 2012, DiverCity was a spectacular display of some of the finest dancers from across Leicester and beyond! Exploring African history and culture through dance, DiverCity showcased a spectrum of Black dance forms in an evening of high-energy, breathtaking moves. On the menu was everything from capoeira to contemporary and street dance to hip hop. A variety of inspirational routines that invited us to explore their vibrant culture!

The event was hosted by Carol Leeming.

This will now be an annual show at Curve Theatre, as part of Black History Season.
