Youth Committee meeting 17/02/11

Youth Committee meeting 17/02/11

2Funky youth committee kicked off the first meeting of the year with a bang! As the members discussed fresh ideas and exciting opportunities for 2011. They also reflected on the success of the work they had done so far such as, IluvLyrics, DiverCity Dance and the Ras Kwame masterclass (Please see the past projects section of the website for more details.)

One member said “the master class was good, I want to get involved in more stuff that I haven't done before...it would be really good to meet more professional people to give us advice on how to get where they are.” Hafsah age 17.

This got the rest of the group to really think about what it is that they, as a collective, wanted to achieve this year. After 2 hours of sketching, debating, bouncing ideas and a lot of laughter the committee narrowed down exactly what they wanted to be involved in, and there is a lot to look forward to!
