ILUVLYRICS

ILUVLYRICS

The ILUVLYRICS urban poetry, lyric writing and spoken word workshops at the 2Funky Arts' Base was a very successful programme, ending in a performance supporting the Decypher Collective at the Peepul Centre.

Spoken word artist and urban lyricist Native took the ILUVLYRICS group through poetry writing and performance techniques over the ten week programme.

As well as working on lyrics, poetry and MCing they also covered performance techniques, stage presence and confidence. All of these skills then came in useful when they were given the fantastic opportunity to open for Decypher Collective in their new show 8sixteen32, exercising their skills and wit in front of a live audience. It was a fantastic show and many audience members were impressed by the young people's performance.
